I can’t speak for everywhere else, but it’s been obvious for a while that Punxatawney Phil is a Texan. The daffodils are already out in force, and the peach trees have their first glimmerings of blooms…let’s just hope we don’t have a last-minute snowstorm the way we did in 2010, eh?

Our poor daffodils were bent over by a crazy snow on Saturday–four inches in SC! Our kids were loving it (well, me, too), but I always fear for the peach farmers and our own budding plants. We’ve had some seriously cold days for our area recently. Daffs are just the most cheerful flowers, aren’t they?
